About Stephanie:
Completing her studies of TV/Video Production in Seattle in the early 90's, Stephanie enjoyed & gained valuable knowledge of working "behind the scenes" lighting, directing, editing and producing small projects.
Putting her aspirations for production on hold to develop her journalism, scripting and storytelling skills, Stephanie began her career as a freelance writer in 1996 with LA-based "Black Talent News", an entertainment industry publication for the African-American Community. Eventually, she was contracted to author a mini-biography on Jennifer Lopez, which was published as an e-book. Her by-lines in print would continue with writing contributions to CO-based "BlackFlix Magazine" and Seattle-based "Seaspot Magazine".
Stephanie has been published on the web as a contributing writer for lyricsandrhyms.com, seaspot.com, blackflix.com. In 2000, Stephanie began writing for BellaOnline as the African-American Culture Host. In 2001, she became the Feng Shui Host at BellaOnline and in 2003 added duties as the Bellydancing Host to her roster of writing gigs with BellaOnline.
She also has experience as an event photographer, taking her experiences with videography and applying them to the science of still life photography.
Some writing/interview highlights for Stephanie have been her 1 on 1 interviews with R&B singer AVANT, Rudy Ray Moore aka. "Dolemite" and bassist & songwriter extrodinaire Me'Shell NdegeOcello.
Since 1991, Stephanie has written and completed 5 WGA registered screenplays of variying genres and subject matter. She is working on 3 more screenplays (all in various stages), and is the creator/producer for a Community television show in Seattle entitled, "Rak On! Bellydance", a show about Bellydancing in the Pacific Northwest. She is also a current member of the Seattle Chapter of the Women In Film organization.
Stephanie has also appeared on television as a guest on various shows: Nationally on "Leeza" (1996) & "Talk or Walk" (2001) hosted by Michael Baisden & locally on KOMO TV's "Northwest Afternoon" (1994) . She has also been a guest on local radio (2000).
In October 2003, Stephanie acted upon her urges and love for music and launched SoulSis Radio, an online radio station on live365.com. Playing R&B and Hip-Hop, Stephanie has seen the online radio station grow in listenership with a worldwide audience. She would like to eventually parlay the online radio station into a real FM station here in Seattle.
With SoulSis Entertainment, the goal is to provide fresh, creative ideas for all things entertainment. With a focus on projects involving women, subjects pertaining to the Black community and those of the African Diaspora, SoulSis Entertainment will be a positive force to be reckoned with.
The power that the media, music, television and movies have on the world should not be taken for granted or abused....especially as it pertains to the Black community. Stephanie's vision, passion and determination, will make SoulSis Entertainment an all-in-one stop for creative expression and your creative needs.
